The guide is for the online fan implementation of Spy Cards, available on this website. For the official ingame Spy Cards minigame, see the article on the game's wiki.

For a more in-depth guide including a run-down of each individual card, see Miles' Spy Cards Online Strategy Guide.

Card Ranks

Boss

The strongest type of card. There is one Boss card per deck.

Boss cards have powerful effects like Empower and are often stronger than other cards with the same TP cost.

Mini-Boss

There are two Mini-Boss cards per deck.

Mini-Boss cards often have high ATK or DEF stats, and many have a conditional bonus you can build your deck to take advantage of.

Attacker

Attacker cards have the highest ATK per TP cost (1:1) of any remaining card type, but they are affected by Numb.

Many cards are a member of a Tribe, which effects can require as a condition.

Effect

Effect cards, along with Attacker cards, are the rest of the cards in your deck.

Effects often rely on chance or the cards your opponent plays, making them high-risk, but also high-reward.

Card Backs

The backs of cards look different for Boss and Mini-Boss cards, but Attacker and Effect cards share a back design.

Each game mode has a list of available cards on its home screen in the game client.

Basic Stats

Both players start the match with 5 HP (heart points). The goal of the game is to reduce your opponent's HP to 0. Each round, the player with the lower ATK (attack points) loses 1 HP. If both players have the same ATK, neither player loses HP.

Each card has a TP (teamwork points) cost to play. In the first round, both players have 2 TP. In each subsequent round, both players have 1 additional TP (so on the second round, both players have 3 TP), up to a maximum of 10 TP.

In addition to ATK, cards may have DEF (defense points). DEF subtracts from the opponent's ATK, but cannot make it go below 0. Some cards have Pierce, which subtracts from the opponent's DEF.

Coin

Flip a number of coins. For every coin that lands on heads, apply an effect. Some Coin effects also specify what to do if the coin lands on tails.

Numb

Flip your opponent's attacker card with the lowest stats over. The card no longer contributes any ATK or DEF, and any effects it hasn't yet run are discarded.

Setup

Apply an effect in a future round. Riz has 2 ATK the turn after the one where he is played.

Empower

Add to the ATK of every matching card.

Some cards have Unity, which works like an Empower that doesn't stack.

Heal

Regain some HP. You can't go above your starting amount.

Lifesteal works like Heal, but only if you win the round.
